How ah.mi started…

The extreme diet and workout plan roller coaster is not something that ah.mi’s Founder Rachel Johnson wanted to be on — or stay on. She wanted something modern that could easily fit into a busy life. Quick fixes and restrictive diets were not it.

In January 2019, she started a group text between a few friends committing to eating healthy, making simple meals and moving their bodies more regularly. After three months of committing together, *big* changes started to happen — Rachel and her friends felt HAPPIER, FITTER, and more CLEAR-MINDED than ever. The best thing was, they didn’t want it to end.  

It turns out, support and accountability from others “in it with you” is everything.

 
 

What started as a group text has grown into an innovative health and wellness brand on a mission to make consistent healthy living more realistic and doable. 

Le Health Club is ah.mi’s membership that gives you tools, partner resources and community support to encourage realistic healthy habits that actually last. This community is full of vibrant (and funny!) humans who are committed to a realistic, healthy lifestyle and will encourage your journey every step of the way.

That’s why when you’re part of the ah.mi and Le Health Club community, you inherit a bunch of friends who are all figuring out that healthy life together. (ah.mi — pronounced “ah-mee” — is a play on the French word for friend.)

Our goal is to help you create (and be consistent with) practical healthy habits… so you can FEEL YOUR BEST.

Rachel, Founder

Rachel brings the big ideas, and with the help of the ah.mi dream team, makes the ah.mi magic come to life. Her journey to living a healthier life is super relatable because like most of us, focusing on her diet and fitness isn’t her full-time job (she’s a corporate lawyer and mom to two little ones). 

Current workout: Rachel is constantly switching up her work outs, but lately it’s long morning walks + weights.

Favorite smoothie: The Clean Green from ah.mi ~ it seriously tastes like dessert!

Jordan, director of marketing

Jordan leads all things marketing at ah.mi. Once an extremely picky eater, Jordan took an interest in learning to cook and quickly diversified her vegetarian, plant-based diet. Jordan believes that moving her body and eating (mostly) clean is what keeps her feeling good mentally and physically.

Current workout: Morning walks and evening weights or yoga!

Favorite quick meal: ah.mi’s Spring Salad ~ mixed greens w/ fresh fruit, goat cheese & almonds.

Renee, Registered dietitian nutritionist

Renee is an advanced practice registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with a Ph.D., in human nutrition. Renee is passionate about all things nutrition and has been practicing for over 10 years at her own private practice Premier Nutrition LLC. Renee is a mommy of two beautiful girls, and enjoys world travel and cooking of course.

Current workout: 90s Peloton Rides with Cody

Favorite meal: Plant-based burrito bowls

Nadia Murdock
 
 

Nadia, mindset ADVISOR

Nadia is our Mindset Advisor and the Founder of Nadia Murdock Fit! She has a B.A. in Psychology and is Certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Nadia is also a Certified Fitness Instructor, life coach, content creator, writer and public speaker. Her mission and purpose are to motivate others to adopt a positive mindset leading to healthier choices and body confidence.

Current workout: Defend and Flow (30 mins of shadow boxing + 30 mins of Vinyasa yoga).

Favorite Meal: Butternut squash soup or lentil soup. She loves anything quick and nutritious!

Nichole, Food Stylist & Photographer

A self-taught food stylist and photographer, Nicholes styles and photographs all of our recipes (and has a ladder in her kitchen for the perfect aerial shot to prove it!). Outside of ah.mi, Nichole works in visual merchandising for some of the biggest athletic brands in the game.

Current workout: Nic squeezes in a quick run or a Melissa Wood Health workout between conference calls and emails.

Robyn, Creative ADVISOR

Robyn conceptualizes the creative vision of ah.mi, and works with Rachel and the team to bring it to life. She met Rachel when ah.mi was just an idea and a few text groups, and uses her background in brand marketing and creative eye as a wardrobe stylist to advise on ah.mi’s growing brand.

Current workout: Robyn recently rediscovered her love of running, and if she could, would work out everyday at New York Pilates.

Avyana, content creator

Avyana is our go-to gal for creating content. Outside of ah.mi, she’s pursuing her MBA with a double concentration in marketing and finance. Avy is also a local food critic and creator of the popular Instagram account, @goodeatsonlyyy. Avyana’s favorite healthy thing to eat are air-fried buffalo cauliflower "wings” — she says they’re better than actual chicken wings.

Current workout: Swimming and walking her 2-year-old American Bulldog.
