Tori
Tori is a San Diego-based Registered Nurse (you may also recognize her smiling face and amazing arms on our Insta because she’s ah.mi’s Registered Dietician!). In addition to eating a balanced, healthy diet, this gal keeps it ACTIVE. Tori loves sports that’ll get her heart up and a good ol’ HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workout. One of our goals: to make it through her Friday workout.
How many times a week do you aim to work out?
I have been working out for about 5 days a week for the past few years.
On a normal week, what do your workouts consist of?
Mix of running, soccer, rowing, and HIIT workouts.
What time of day do you work out?
Usually the morning because it energizes me for the rest of my day!
What’s your fave work out?
HIIT workouts that I get from Pinterest or that my sister-in-law and I come up with. This is what I did Friday:
5 rounds:
1 min row (at max effort)
20 kettlebell swings, 36 lb. bell
1 hill sprint
10 slam balls, 20lb. ball

What’s your go-to workout when you’re short on time?
A hard 15-20 min row.
Do you normally work out when you travel?
I love to explore by going for a run and finding a good hill for some sprints. To mix it up, I’ll sometimes do a HIIT workout that doesn’t require equipment.
What’s your go-to workout wear brand recently?
Maaji has the best leggings with super cute patterns.
What advice do you have for women who are new to working out?
Do what you like to do and you will be more likely to stick with it. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and try new things. Variety keeps me engaged in my workouts!
